Privacy policy

LipAfrika respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• When you order: your name, cell number, email address (if you give it), the PEP store, PUDO locker or address we send your order to, what you ordered and how you paid.
• If you create an account: your name, email, cell number, delivery details and a securely scrambled version of your password (we never see your actual password).
• Technical information: a scrambled form of your internet connection's address, used only to stop spam and fraud.

Why we use it

To process and deliver your order, contact you about it (by WhatsApp, SMS, phone or email), keep your account working, and keep records we're required to keep. We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

Only the companies we need to fulfil your order: the delivery company you choose (PAXI or PUDO), our payment provider if you pay online (your card details go straight to them, never to us), our email provider for order receipts, and our website host. They may only use it for that purpose.

Cookies and storage

We use one cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser's storage to remember what's in your bag. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us on WhatsApp. If you're not happy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
